Behind The Threads

Behind The Threads

The making of the 1 Mission Shirt

August 2025.

This was a big project for us, combining fashion and a charity event. We wanted to make sure the shirts were bold with a stand out print, to help start conversations. Mental health underpinned the initial research with Boxcey, we used imagery of neurones as the starting point, to create a textured background pattern. These ideas then evolved and expanded, we included triangles, as a nod to our own logo.

We got in touch with our local football club Rugby Town FC, who were happy to let us use the stadium for the shoot. This gave it a really authentic feel, allowing us to get create content with a talented local photographer Joel Ernest, and our models Darrell, Amy and Danny. Without this, it wouldn’t have had the visual impact and authenticity. We are really happy with how these photographs  turned out.

The key throughout this project was determination. To get both the aesthetic we wanted in terms of the product and from the photoshoot for our marketing imagery. The design process took around 6 months to complete. Whilst we tweaked this with the team at Boxcey,  we spent time creating mood boards, so we had a clear vision for the shoot. This was really helpful as it ensured both the models and photographers were on the same page. As always, nothing is perfect and some of the shots from the pub didn't quite hit the mark, partly due to poor lighting. However we luckily had enough high quality images from the stadium to do the product justice, we a marketing campaign that we are proud of.
